Patricia "Pat" LaBeau of Temperance, Michigan, passed away on August 27, 2026. She spent her final days surrounded by family. Pat was born on October 7, 1942, to Ben and Rita Somers in Toledo, Ohio. She married Larry LaBeau, and together they shared 60 years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Rita Somers, as well as her sister, Kathy Bombrys, and brother, Ben Jr. (Butch).
Pat attended Central Catholic and Rogers High School before going on to Monroe Community College, where she graduated cum laude. Pat worked in the health care industry for many years, capping a rewarding career as Office Manager for Dr. Frank Barone. After retiring, she devoted much of her time to volunteering in the Bedford community, including with Monroe ISD and the Monroe County Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), among other activities.
Pat is survived by her husband, Larry; her son, Christopher (Milagros), and grandsons Brandon and Lucas of Greendale, Wisconsin; and her daughter, Lisa Schendel (Jeff Farison), and grandson Evan.
Pat and Larry loved traveling together as a family, exploring much of the country - often in their own airplane, which they enjoyed flying for many years. Their travels also included several cruises, as well as trips to Europe and South America. They also spent many winters at their condo in Florida.
In her later years, as her health changed, the LaBeau family was blessed with wonderful care from Memory Lane Care Services of Toledo, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, and Aspen Grove Memory Care in Lambertville, Michigan, and the family is deeply grateful for their compassion and support.
Pat was a gracious and loving person who was a friend to everyone she met, and her warmth and kindness will be remembered by all who knew her.
There will be no visitation, and services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Memory Lane Care Services of Toledo or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
