Patricia "Patti" Ann Evola Fischer

Patricia "Patti" Ann Evola Fischer was born on December 7, 1950, in Windsor, Ontario, the daughter of Richard Novak and Cecilia J. Corbin. Patti proudly became an American citizen on July 4, 1984. Patti passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on March 2, 2026.

A devoted mother, she stayed home with her daughters in their early years, before earning her bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Toledo. She then entered the workforce and later retired in 2021. Her greatest joys in life were her children, grandchildren, close friends, and her loving partner, Jim Konopinski.

She had a generous heart, a gentle humor, and a spirit that made everyone feel cherished. Patti was an avid reader who valued the importance of education and literacy. A dedicated sports fan, she enjoyed cheering on the Lions, Tigers, Red Wings, and tuned in to all things NHL hockey.

She is survived by her daughters, Lea (Chris) Schuette and Trish Kreuz; grandchildren, Luke Kreuz and Morgan Walz (Weidenhamer). The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to her Primary Care Physician (PCP), Harold Barlekamp, MD and his lovely wife Tammy, who provided dedication and compassionate care as her PCP and brought comfort, support and prayers in the last moments of her life.

Her love, laughter, and warmth will remain in and guide our hearts forever.

Honoring her wishes, a private family celebration will be held.
