Pamela Jo Logan (Wassink), age 67, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on October 17, 1958, and lived a life marked by compassion, creativity, faith, and deep devotion to those she loved.
She married the love of her life, Max Alan Logan, on January 26, 1980. Together they built a home filled with adventure, laughter, and unconditional love. Although Max preceded her in death, the life they built together lives on through the children they so dearly loved.
Pam is remembered by her children, Jennifer Lynne Morgan (Joseph), Lindsay Marie Birkenkamp (Dustin), and Jeffrey Alan Logan (Jamie Bonito), who were the greatest joys of her life. Known as "Gaga," she delighted in every moment spent with her grandchildren: Hailey Nicole (Tyler), Max William, Lanna Ruth, Jackson Hayes, and Gabriel Grant. She was also blessed with the joy of becoming a "Great Gaga" to Luca Scott, whose name alone could bring a smile to her face.
Called to care for others, Pam studied nursing at The Ohio State University at Lima before dedicating her career to St. Rita's Medical Center, where she worked in the Kidney and Hypertension Department alongside Dr. Jonah Ukiwe for more than fifteen years. Her gentle spirit, compassionate heart, and genuine concern for others left a lasting impression on countless patients, families, and coworkers.
Retirement simply gave Pam more time to pour herself into the people and pursuits she loved most. She cherished working in the garden alongside her daughters, finding peace among the flowers and joy with dirt beneath her fingernails. She shared a special bond with her son during quiet boat rides on the lake, where the wind in her hair, calm waters, and heartfelt conversations became treasured memories. She also had a lifelong love for animals, especially her beloved dachshunds, Macy Mae, Orry, Bodhi, and Kobe, who were faithful companions and treasured members of the family. Whether tending a garden, cuddling one of her dogs, or drifting across the lake, Pam found that life's greatest blessings were never found in the places she went, but in the people-and pets-with whom she shared them.
Pam was a longtime member of Elida Emmanuel Methodist Church and faithfully attended ALIVE Church and Calvary Church of Toledo with her daughters. She loved Jesus, worship music, studying Scripture, and what she affectionately called "Bible nerding." Time spent in God's presence was her greatest source of peace and strength, and her faith quietly shaped the way she loved, served, and encouraged everyone around her.
Above all, Pam loved her family. She celebrated every milestone, treasured every gathering, delighted in a competitive game of Euchre and had a remarkable gift for making ordinary moments feel larger than life. Her home was a place of welcome, laughter, and unconditional love. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, creativity, and unwavering love that will bless her family for generations to come. Though her family will miss her deeply, they rejoice in the promise that she is now home with her Savior, dancing amongst the angels to the beat of her own drum and is finally reunited with her husband Max after 32 long years, with the wind beneath their wings.
A celebration of Pamela's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor her memory to perform an act of kindness, donate to your local church or animal shelter, create something beautiful, or simply spend time with those they love.
