Octavio G. Gonzalez "Jr."

Octavio "Jr." Gonzalez, age 75, passed away on November 24, 2024, at Lynwood Manor in Adrian, MI. Octavio "Jr." was born May 9th, 1949, to Octavio and Bentura Gonzalez in Adrian, Michigan. "Jr." attended Adrian Catholic Central and graduated from Adrian High School in the class of 1969. He served some time in the U.S. Army. He then married Terry Harsh in 1970, fathered two children, and divorced years later. He lived with Lisa Shreve, fathered a daughter, and they separated. "Jr." dedicated himself to supporting his children. He worked as a professional Fire works man, putting on shows in Hillsdale, Jackson, and other places. Octavio "Jr." loved playing baseball, shooting pool, and playing Bingo.

Octavio is survived by his children; son, Michael (Wanda) Gonzalez, of South Carolina, who had grandchildren, Jeremiah, Haylee, and Amber Gonzalez; daughter, Novela (Travis) Maney, of Tennessee, who had grandchildren, Christopher (Jessie) Laughren, whom bore great grandson, Dante Rex Allen Laughren, who had son, Johnathon Laughren (and girlfriend, Ashley) whom bore fifth generation great great grandson, Bently Jordan Laughren, and daughter, Casey Laughren; and daughter, Schantell Gonzalez (Samuel Mays) whom bore daughter, Mia Mays; and siblings, Gloria (Jose) Martinez, Thomas Gonzalez, and Carmel (Steve) Choate.

"Jr." was preceded in death by his parents, Octavio and Bentura Gonzalez.

A Celebration of Life will be announced later in spring of 2025.
