Norma J. Lavrar

Norma Jean LaVrar, age 93, of Toledo Ohio, passed away on August 19, 2023 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was affectionately known as Mimi to those who knew and loved her

Norma was a graduate of Libby High school. She worked at the Maumee River Yacht club as a bookkeeper. Later in life, Norma became a certified home health aide. She worked for Swan Creek, assisting those often younger than her, giving companionship, comfort and care. Mimi loved to spend her days knitting, reading and especially painting. Every visit to Mimi ended with you taking home her artwork.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, William LaVrar and son, Larry W. LaVrar.

She is survived by her son, Karl LaVrar; daughter, Denise (Emery) Krueger; grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great granddaughter.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Maumee United Methodist Church, 405 Sackett Street, Maumee on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 11:00 am. Please join the family in remembering and rejoicing in the life of Norma.
