Nina A. Keel

Nina A. Keel, age 88, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2024 at the Lakes of Monclova surrounded by her family. She was born on August 26, 1936 to Armel and Eva Keel in Toledo, Ohio.

Nina attended Scott High School where she was a majorette and graduated in 1954. She also attended the University of Toledo. During her school years, she met many life-long friends. She was extremely proud of her career at the Ohio Bell telephone company, remaining with them until December 1991 when she retired as Manager of the Maintenance Department. After retirement, she moved to Florida for many years, returning to the Toledo area in 2021. Nina loved exotic cars and was an avid Harlet rider.

Nina was preceded in death by her parents Armel and Eva Keel, life-long companion Bob Richards, brothers Jack (Betty) Keel Sr., Douglas (Dolores) Keel, Reginald (Maddie) Keel Sr., Gary Keel and sisters Violet (Charles) Puhl and Bernice Cole, as well as five nephews. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

The family extends a special thanks to the staffs of the Lakes of Monclova and Heartland Hospice for all of the care they provided to Nina.

The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association, in honor of Nina.
