Nicole M. Rader

Nicole Marie Rader came into this world March 7, 1977 and left it April 22, 2024 on a spectacular moonbeam and nothing could be more fitting for a Star Child like Nikki.

Nikki wore many hats in her lifetime; daughter, sister, mother, aunt, cousin, friend to many and most recently warrior and boy did she fight. Cancer kept knocking her down but she kept getting back up because more than anything she wanted to stay here with her babies and until the very end she was determined to beat it.

She enjoyed the simple things in life. A peaceful morning drinking coffee in her yard with her sister, a thunderstorm during the night, a strawberry banana smoothie from Wawa with Jered, cuddling with her Weezy or a Simpsons marathon with her Shoopy. These are the things that mattered to her.

Nikki was so much more than the disease that stole her. She was a talented artist and she loved to teach new generations of kids how to pop and lock whether they wanted to learn or not. She loved music and movies and could hold conversations in movie quotes and she was oh so funny. She will be missed so very much.

Nikki was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, aunts, sister and cousins. She is survived by her son, Jered Mahoney Jr; daughters, Tierra and Savannah Christopher and Jada Brown. She is also survived by her sisters, Debbie, Anne and Jessica and her Uncle Bill. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will mourn her eternally and her dog son, Spike.

Per Nikki's request there will be no funeral. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 11:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. at Trilby Hall, 5745 Gay St., Toledo, Ohio 43613.
