Nicole Carole Jean (Lintula) Karcsak, 35, of Toledo, OH, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020. She had courageously battled metastatic breast cancer over the past two years. Nicole was born in Toledo, OH on July 12, 1985 to Barney Lintula and Vicky Robinson. She attended Erie-Mason Consolidated Schools, Oregon City Schools, and graduated from Penta Career Center in 2003 with a focus in cosmetology. Nicole went on to earn her Associate’s Degree in Medical Billing and Coding in 2010 from Owens Community College. Nicole brought her daughter, Lexi Farley, into the world in 2006. She later met the love of her life, Matt Karcsak, and they married June 14, 2014. They spent six wonderful years together. Nicole had decided to continue with her passion of being a hairstylist. Over the years she worked at the Fiesta Hair Salon in Woodville Mall, Cutting Edge Hair Salon in Northwood, and JM Beaut’e Hair Salon in Genoa. Nicole loved each and everyone of her customers dearly. Nicole loved to cook, be a mother to Lexi, an aunt to her nieces and nephews, traveling to go camping or to the beach, concerts, going to the local race tracks, riding on the motorcycle, Novas, and other various cars. She was also an avid Toledo Walleye and Pittsburgh Steeler fan. Nicole is survived by her husband, Matt, daughter, Lexi, mother, Vicky, grandmother, Marylin Wurster, sisters Lisa (Rick) Butera, April (Joe) Doran, mother-in-law and father-in-law Tim and Denise Karcsak, sister-in-law, Amber (Chuck) Davis, brother-in-laws, TJ (Danielle) Karcsak, and Dylan Dotson-Karcsak. Nicole is also survived by her nephews, Andrew and Drew, nieces, Emily, Carlie, Claire, Emma, Megan, Hannah, Kaylee, Claire K., and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She will also be missed by her dogs Lily and Mister. She was preceded in death by her father, Barney, grandparents, Virgil Wurster, Bernard and Vera Lintula. Anyone that knew Nicole, knew what an amazing soul she was. Nicole was a true inspiration throughout her battle. Nicole did not want to have a funeral, but instead a celebration of life. Due to COVID, this will take place in the spring or summer so that she can have the celebration she deserves. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to The Cleveland Clinic Foundation. The family would like to give special thanks to Nicole’s oncology team at The Cleveland Clinic, and Ohio Living Home Care and Hospice for the tremendous care they provided. Also, a special thanks to OLHCH nurse, Amy, who provided a special Santa and Mrs. Claus visit for Lexi.
