Neal James Chandler born January 4, 1958 made his transition from this life to the next on Sunday December 2, 2012. After reading Steven Tylers book, “Does the Noise in my Head Bother You?” he made the comment that he had lived very much like Steven Tyler did, but without the money. Neal lived his own life in his own way, and with stubborn dedication, lived it outside of the box. He was a musician all of his life, having played in places like Alaska, California, all over the east coast, and even Korea with over 40 years as a most talented bass player. He was also a skilled keyboard player. He was disliked by some and beloved by many, but anyone who met him and got to know him knew there was something quite unique and interesting about him. He certainly wasnt a saint, but he did have moments of remarkable brilliance, most assuredly with regards to music. So, regardless of his often being a pain in the butt, he is going to be missed and by a lot of people, particularly his brother, Steve Chandler, his sisters, Lynn Chandler and JoAnn Almanza and his daughter, Morgan Chandler. But those on the other side of the veilNeals mom, Miriam; his dad, Neal; his brother Tym; his grandfather Elwood Hesch; his grandmother Florence Heschand a few very special friends who have journeyed there before him will all have been waiting with great anticipation for Neals reunion with them; and what a party it will be!So those of us left here to carry on without his palpable presencewe can rest easy now knowing that Neal is without pain, without limitation, and now having the time of his lifeor rather the time of his passing. May you be encouraged to remember your best memories of him!If you want to make a donation in his honor, you might consider making one to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation one that inspired Neals involvement for many years. We love you, Neal (and Buddy to those who knew him in high school). I dedicate this “out of the box,” obit to you, dear Brother. See you on the other side in due time.
