Nathan John Paxton was born Sept. 3, 1977 in Toledo Ohio. He Died suddenly and unexpectedly February 20, 2010. He was 32 years old. He grew up in the Toledo Ohio and Lubbock Texas areas. He met Allison Wittenberg in 2006, and had a son with her on Sept. 9, 2007. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor shortly after the birth of his son Elijah. Though he struggled with seizures and health issues, he was very dedicated to raising his son, Elijah, with Allison. His death was a shock and sad ending to a short life. Nathan was known as a devoted father and loved going to the park with his son. He enjoyed music by The Grateful Dead, dancing, music festivals and to feel the grass beneath his feet. He was a collector of crystals and glass art and enjoyed traveling. He was an animal lover and wouldnt be seen anywhere without his long time companion of 14 years, dog Nesta. He will be remembered for his contagious laughter, wild eyes, crazy smile, and warm heart. Most importantly Nathan loved spending time with his loving partner Allison and their son Elijah. He loved them so much. Nathan is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Duane Paxton and his brother James Andrew Paxton. He is survived by his mother, Sharlene Ramsey and step-father Jay Ramsey, a son, Elijah Paxton, a brother Clark Ramsey, a sister Kathleen Ramsey, Grandparents Edith Paxton, Carole Berning, Oliver and Mary Margaret Ramsey, and aunts and uncles and cousins.A Memorial Service will be held at Maison Dardenne Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St. Maumee, on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 3:00 pm.
