Nancy Raab Stahley of Sylvania, Ohio, age 68, passed away on November 26th at home surrounded by her family. Nancy was born on March 15, 1957 to the late Doid and Alice (Courtright) Raab in Lancaster, Ohio.
She grew up on the Raab Family farm with her three older brothers, raising cattle, pigs and chickens, and grain crops. Nancy enjoyed time spent playing with her family and friends around the farm and learned to run fast—faster than all her brothers!
She was preceded in death by her parents, Doid and Alice Raab; husband, Stephen Stahley; brother, E. John Raab; and father-in-law, Roger Stahley. Nancy is survived by her loving children, Nathan Stahley and Brooke Stahley; granddaughter, Delaney Gill; brothers, Tom (Anne) Raab and Keith Raab; mother-in-law, Betty Stahley; brothers-in-law, Scott (Michelle) Stahley and Gary (Jenny) Stahley; sister-in-law, Mary Raab; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Nancy graduated from Fairfield Union High School in 1975 as class valedictorian and was a varsity cheerleader for both football and basketball. She attended The Ohio State University (Dental Hygiene) and graduated in 1978. Nancy worked as a dental hygienist for 41 years, most of which were spent working for Dr. John Marque in Lancaster, Ohio. Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved taking care of her family. She was an excellent cook and was especially known for her baked desserts and fruit pies. Nancy was also a lifelong Buckeye fan and spent many afternoons cheering them on to victory.
