With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Naaman "Loren" Fitzwater, a beloved father and friend, on July 30, 2023.
He left this world surrounded by the love of his family, following a life well-lived and filled with cherished memories.
Born on December 13, 1956 to James and Betty (Skaggs) Fitzwater, Loren led a life that may not have been marked by grand achievements or widespread recognition, but it was a life filled with love, kindness, and simple joys. He was a loving father, a friend, and a pillar of support for those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Throughout his life he worked tirelessly to provide for his family, always putting their needs before his own. His genuine smile and words of wisdom will forever be cherished by his children and grandchildren.
Loren found solace and happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He showed us that happiness can be found in the ordinary moments we often take for granted.
While Loren may not have achieved fame or fortune, his impact on those around him was immeasurable. He taught us the value of hard work and the importance of being there for one another. His legacy lives on through the lessons he imparted and the love he shared.
Loren is preceded in death by his parents, James and Betty Fitzwater; brother, James Ray; Sister, Lyda Jean; great aunts, Eva and Florence. He is survived by his children, Donald and Eva (Curtis); grandchildren, Alex, James and Nicholas; brother, David (Sherry); sister, Geneiva (Michael); fiancé, Anne Carstensen; ex wife, Suzanne; nieces and nephews and many others who loved him dearly.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
In his memory, let's strive to find beauty in the simple things, to offer kindness to those we meet, and to embrace the joys of family and friendship.
