Myrtle M. Grow

Myrtle (Merle) Martha (Sayers-Salo) Grow, age 91, of Toledo, Ohio, died December 20, 2020 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio.  Myrtle was born on December 22, 1928, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, to Ernest Miron and Rosalie Sayers.  She very proudly became a U.S. Citizen on October 27, 1995. Myrtle was married to Ronald D. Grow for the past 45 years.  The two of them enjoyed many winters in Florida and traveling throughout the western and eastern states. Myrtle was a stay at home Mom while her older children were growing up.  When her first husband passed, she started working at JC Penney at Franklin Park Mall where she worked for 22 years before retiring. Myrtle is survived by her husband, Ronald Grow; daughters, Joyce A. Kosmatka and Karen M. Trapp; son, Dennis M. Salo; grandchildren, Jennifer (Shannon) Hardin, Steven Kosmatka, Timothy (Joy) Salo, Jessica (Mike) Zolman, Danielle Salo, Melissa (Christopher) Barr, Stephanie Salo, Shauna Salo, Rachael (Kevin) Stark, Veronica (Josh) Sparks,  and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Svante F. Salo; sons, Wayne R. Salo and David S. Salo; grandchild, Lori (Salo) Laidlow and great-grandchild, Stefen Salo. Special thanks to Dr. Pamela Hackl and to the staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio . Due to Coronavirus, a private service is being held.
