Michael C. Swing

Michael C. Swing, Sr. 67 years old, resided most of his life in Maumee, Ohio and went to Maumee High School, class of 1977. After a fairly short, but fierce fight against leukemia, Michael passed away peacefully at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Sylvania. Preceded in death by his parents, John F. Swing, Sr. and Jean E. Swing (Kirkpatrick) and brother, John F Swing Jr.

Michael drove a school bus for TPS, before spending some time at Hydromatic (GM Powertrain). He was also co-owner of K.O's Lounge in South Toledo and Carl's Mobile Home Park. He spent many years assisting local bands, setting up and running sound at local bars in the surrounding areas and Party in the Park events in Downtown Toledo.

Michael loved riding motorcycles, flew model airplanes, and spending time with family and friends who meant the most to him, which he was most proud of being a grandpa.

He is survived by four children, Michael Swing Jr (Staci), Amanda Swing (Michael Faulkner), Mallory Ott (Brian), and Devin Swing; grandkids, Michael, Riley, Kashayla, Mylah, Myles, Lennon, Sadie, Max, Remi; and nephew, John F. Swing III (Taylor). Also all of his grand animals held a very special place in his heart.

Much appreciation to UTMC, ST. Vincent's Hospital, The Cleveland Clinic, and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for providing the best care. Currently there are no services scheduled, but hoping to schedule a celebration of life in the coming warmer months. In leu of flowers we ask that anyone interested make donations to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Cleveland Clinic or consider donations made to the family to assist with final expenses.
