Michael J. Meeker, age 85, passed away on July 15, 2026, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, in Perrysburg, Ohio.

Michael was born on May 30, 1941, in Toledo, Ohio, to Leonard N. and Josephine A. Meeker. He attended St. James Catholic School, graduated from Macomber High School, and continued his education at the University of Toledo. Mike was employed by Owens Illinois “O-I Glass”, where he worked in engineering for 34 years, until his retirement.

Michael was a proud and dedicated member of the Eagles for more than 45 years and the Elks for over 30 years. He was also a longtime member of the Merickel-Farley Trout Club, where he shared many years of friendship and fellowship with fellow outdoor enthusiasts.

He found his greatest joy in the outdoors and especially loved hunting, fishing, camping, and boating. Michael also had a passion for gardening and treasured the many years of friendship he shared with his best gardener friend, Larry Adams.

Michael will be remembered for his love of nature, his loyal friendships, and the countless memories he created with those who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory include his brothers, Jim (Jamie), Kevin (Dinnie) and John Meeker; 4 sisters; special niece, Lindsay (Denny) Goins, who helped take great care of Mike during his last days. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leonard Jr., Thomas Meeker; sister, Cheryle Adams.
