Michael David Mcgovern

Michael David “Tank-Dawg” McGovern (Parra), 40, of Toledo passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019. He was born on May 26, 1978 in Toledo to Stephen Parra and Tina McGovern. Michael enjoyed his family and friends, bonfires, fishing, beer, and music. He was a skilled marksman and a collector of knifes. Michael was also an avid Ohio State Buckeye football fan. Michael was young at heart and loved being surrounded by children. Surviving is his mother, Tina (Wes Miller) McGovern; father, Stephen (Fawn) Parra; wife, Kim; children, Taylor, Kaedyn, and Jake; brother, Steve Black; sisters, Starr, Danielle, and Stephanie; special cousins, David, Brian, Ashley, Danny, Jason, Crystal, Kaci, Kyla, Lil Vic, and Shawn; uncles, Kevin (Rose) and Victor (Christine); and aunts, Tracy (Elizabeth), Kelly (Lenny), Danielle (Andy), Melissa, Cindy, and Kim. Michael is preceded in death by his grandparents, Daniel and Lynne McGovern and Michael and Nancy Parra. A celebration of life, honoring Michael, will be held on February 8, 2019 at Walbridge Park, 2761 Broadway St, Toledo OH 43609, from 2-8 p.m. The family would like to sincerely thank Rachel Keener, Heather Ellis, Marlo Malinowski, and O’Malley’s Bar.
