He met the love of his life Nancy Kay (Byers) and married his girl in Monroe, Michigan on December 19, 1969 and started the adventure of their lives. They had four beautiful children, April Marie (deceased), Michael (Amy), Emily, and George (Nichole); thirteen grandchildren, Samantha, Emma, Kylie, Myla, Molly, Madelyn, Madison, Katie, Bailey, Mike, George, Allan, and Andrew; three great grandchildren, Blakely, August and Brian. Michael was also survived by sisters, Mary (Jerry) Errand and Barbara (Rich) McGoveren; brother, Jimmy (Linda) Byers; as well as, Aunt Babs, Aunt Porky, and cousin, Katie.

Michael received his Associate Degree in Applied Science Electronic Engineering with Highest Honors. Michael was passionate about his education and never stopped learning and growing.

Michael retired from Barbara Ann Karmonos Cancer Institute in 2009. He took up the love of bee keeping and gardening. Spending all his free time with his girl, Nancy, and their family. He loved cooking out for his family BBQ ribs and chicken wings. He took Nancy to Kelly's Island any chance he had. Michael made friends wherever he was and always ready to lend a hand and help. He could fix anything you could always find him in the garage working on something.

Michael, the man I loved more then anyone, he was my best friend and my rock through out good times and bad. I'm beyond grateful for the time we have had together. I won't ever forget the love in his eyes, they melted my heart every time he looked at me. My heart is so broken, saying Happy Trails, to the love of my life. It brings me comfort having so much of him alive in each one of our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. I am so grateful we were together in our adventure through life. Babe we will be together again, until that day rest easy and fly high. I love you Babe!

The family would like to thank all the great nurses at CHP Hospice their compassion and kindness are unsurpassed, as well as Chaplin Larry for giving comfort and prayers and everyone at the Cremation Society of Toledo. Thank you!
