Michael M. Hudecek

October 17, 1961 — January 13, 2024

Michael Martin Hudecek, 62, passed away at Hospice of Northwest Ohio on January 13, 2024. He was born on October 17, 1961, in Lansing, Michigan, to Robert and Mary (Shultz) Hudecek.


Michael attended Ovid-Elsie High School and attended college for a period of time afterwards. He was a Plant Manager at American Interiors for twenty-seven years. He loved all sports, especially MSU football and basketball. Michael used to love playing golf and traveling with his family. He loved music as well and even played guitar and percussion with the “Junkanoo Brothers” at one time.


Michael is survived by his wife, Theresa (Craft) Hudecek; daughters, Ashley Hedges and Lauren Hudecek; grandson, Bradley Bunce; granddaughter, Skylar Westfall; sister, Kristi (Neil) Stambersky; brothers, Scott Hudecek and Brad Hudecek; sister-in-law, Sandy Kirby; Bonnie Cook; sister-in-law, Chris Sinicropi; brother-in-law, Steve Craft; as well as several nieces, nephews, special friends, and work friends.


Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Hudecek, as well as his brother, Mark Hudecek.


A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 2nd, from 12:00pm-4:00pm at Shorty’s Back 40, located at 5215 Monroe St, Toledo, OH 43623.


In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in his name.
