Michael K. Mike Fineske

Michael Kenneth Fineske, age 70, of Toledo, went peacefully home to be with the Lord on December 8th, 2020.  He was born on March 16th, 1950 to Ken and June Fineske, and lived most all of his life in South Toledo.  Mike graduated from Bowsher high School in 1968 and then The University of Toledo.  He then became an excellent teacher in the Springfield school district for many years.  He later left teaching and started his own landscape business where he served his loyal customers up until his final days. He loved to be up at our family cottage on Evans Lake to fish and spend time on the water with his family or visiting Sterling State Park to be by the water.  He enjoyed Michigan football and following the success of his two sons Brady Fineske and Adam Fineske. Mike is survived by his Mother June Fineske, his Brother Jeff (Cheryl) Fineske, his sister Nancy (Fritz) Kuebbeler and his children Brady (Katie) Fineske and Adam (Kate) Fineske along with his nine Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by father Ken Fineske, his grandson Jackson Fineske, and his long-time companion Terri Bensch. The family will have a private service in the coming weeks.  Those wishing to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider either Catching Up With Jack, an organization to help fight pediatric cancer in honor of his grandson Jack.
