Michael E. Connerton

Michael E. “Mike” Connerton, age 74 years old, passed away on January 14, 2024, at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital, Toledo, Ohio, surrounded by his loving family.

Michael E. Connerton was born on March 13, 1949, in Toledo, the son of John F. and Elizabeth M. (Smith) Connerton. Both of his parents preceded him in death.

Mike was a retired ironworker and was able to travel to many states, because of his trade. Mike was a rock ‘n roll fan and loved music. In his younger years, Mike was totally a hippie. He enjoyed Woodstock, The Beetles, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and the Rolling Stones. He loved to tell his stories and there were many! His elder years were much quieter. His days were often spent drinking his coffee and eating his favorite foods, like potato chips, popcorn and strawberry shortcake. All while watching CSI and his game shows. Michael was “One of a Kind” and will be truly missed.

Left to cherish his memory include his children, Peter Grey, Michelle (Rob) Connerton, and Michael (Sue) Connerton, Jr; four grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Debra (Curtis) Thompson, and Kathleen (Dennis) Davis; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death are his two sisters, Frances A. Thompson, and Judith A. Muniz; three brothers, John E., Timothy R., and Dennis O. Connerton.

A celebration of Life will be held on Mikes 75th birthday, March 13, 2024, and additional details will be available at a later date.

On behalf of the family, we would like to give a special thank you to Jamie Dotson for all the help and friendship he gave Mike for the past several years.
