Melvin A. Meyers

Melvin A. Meyers, age 80, of Toledo, Ohio passed away at home surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, January 8, 2017. He was born on October 18, 1936 in Toledo, Ohio to Kenneth and Jessica (Lamb) Meyers. Mel proudly serviced his country in the US Air Force and worked as a cement mason for Local 886 for 50 years before retiring. He was an avid golfer, sometimes playing in up to five leagues. Mel was an accomplished woodworker, but his greatest joy was his family and friends. Mel is survived by his wife, Linda; daughters, Melinda (Tim) Managhan and Melissa Meyers; step-brothers, David and Jerry Shenofsky and step-sister, Patricia Shenofsky. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Wallace and sister, Carol Conkright. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Toledo Hospital, Flower Rehab and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for all of their love and support. Services will be private.
