Matthew J Williams

Matthew Joseph Williams, age 51, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025, under the compassionate care of Hospice of NWO in Perrysburg. Born February 2, 1974, to Victor Williams Sr. and the late Susan Williams. He was a lifelong resident of Perrysburg, Ohio.

A proud graduate of Perrysburg High School, Matt was an active member of the school choir, Jazz Singers, and show choir earning him the distinction of being the first student to participate in all three choirs for Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior years. He also participated in numerous theater productions, showcasing his love of music and performance. Matt was also an avid softball player and hockey player through the years. Above all else, Matt was a devoted family man whose world revolved around those he loved.

On Aug 29, 2008, Matt married his soul mate and best friend, Kathleen (Zbierajewski) Williams. Together they built a beautiful life and were blessed with five beloved children, Matthew, Steven, Christine, Abigail, and Henry, who will forever carry on his legacy.

Matt is preceded in death by his mother, Susan Williams and father-in-law, Frank Zbierajewski. He is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 17 years Kathleen; their five children; father, Victor Williams sr.; brothers Victor Williams Jr (Brenda) and Andrew Williams (Laura) He also leaves behind several beloved nieces; nephews; and great-nieces who adored their uncle Matt, along with many extended family members and lifelong friends. Matt had a special gift for making people feel seen and valued. His memory will live on forever through the countless lives he touched.

A celebration of life will be held in Matt's honor on August 8 from 5pm-9pm at Fraternal Order of Eagles in Rossford 658 Lime City Rd Rossford, Ohio 43460.
