Marylou Kurth

Marylou Kurth passed away peacefully at Ebeid Hospice on February 27, 2021. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 24, 1934 to Gail and Alice Caldwell. She attended Woodward High School. She married Jack Cummerow July 24, 1952, and after his passing married Ralph Kurth. She went on to get a Licensed Practical Nursing degree. She loved boating and went on to become the first female Commodor of Bay View Yacht Club. She also loved to travel. Her love of animals led her to volunteer for North Carolina Turtle Hospital and work with the Humane Society in Florida. She was also a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. Marylou is survived by her daughter Betsy (Kim Matthews) Cummerow; son Steven (Lisa Fox) Cummerow; two grandsons Cody and Ian Mathews; grandaughter Calla (Randy) Campbell, and three great grandsons Killian, Connor, and Callen Campbell. Memorial Contributions in Marylou’s name may be made to Ebeid Hospice.
