Mary C. Martinez 76, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020, at Hospice of NW Ohio. She was born August 10, 1943, in Toledo to Carmen and Nettie(Gilbert) Cervantez. Mary married Tony M. Martinez on March 8, 1966 or was it the 9th, it just depended on which one you asked, neither could remember. lol Mary attended E.D. Libbey High School in the Old Southend of Toledo from 59-63. Mary also worked as a carhop for Frischs Big Boy on Summit St in the 60s, later working for Lasalles in the Woodville Mall in the 70s and her most favorite job: The Purple Place at the former Port Side in the late 80s. She loved working there, as purple was her favorite color. She then went to work in the 90s at HiTech Packaging on Fearing Blvd with her daughter Vicki. She had made many friends and met her future son-in-law Darryl Fullwood there. Mary is proceeded in death by her spouse Tony M. Martinez, Parents Carmen and Nettie, Siblings Jesse and Glen. Son-in-Law Darryl Fullwood and Grandson Darryl Fullwood Jr. Mary is survived by three daughters: Angela Schutt, of Toledo, Nettie Norden of Milbury, Ohio and Vicki(David Ward) Fullwood of Toledo. Nine grandchildren: Toni Martinez, Gary Schutt Jr. Winter Schutt, Matthew(Deanna Gibson) Schutt, Michael(Amber Miller) Norden, Melia Norden, Marina(Patrick) Short, Victoria(Ricky Gonzales) Fullwood, Damien Fullwood and 11 Great Grandchildren: Adriel and Enacio Martinez, Alycia, Michael Jr., McKenzie, Lillianna and Brianna Norden, Leah Randolph, Lucas Lewis, Patrick Short Jr, Marianna Gonzales. She also is survived by Sister in Law Janie Waxler and many nieces and nephews. At Marys request, She was to be cremated with no services and interment will take place at a later date with her husbands ashes at a National Cemetery in Ohio for Veterans. Arrangements were made through Cremation Society of Toledo. Any Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of NW Ohio. The family would like to say thank you to the following who had helped with their mothers care: Heather Cervantes - her home care nurse, Katie from Sincera, Doctor Ewry - her family doctor who Mary adored, The nurses and doctors of Mercy St. Vincents in the following depts: ER, Dr. Zohn(Thank you for kindness and caring that you showed her every time she was a patient), ICU 1st floor, Neuro ICU 5th floor, Palliative care team, Hospice of NW Ohio and Sincera.
