Mary Sue Harris

Mary Sue Harris, age 66 years old, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on August 29, 2024, in her home, surrounded by her family.


Mary Sue Harris was born on April 30, 1958, the daughter of LeRoy and Ruth (Hessen) Tiderman. Both of her parents preceded her in death.


Mary was a 1976 graduate of Whitmer High School and started her career with Bugbee and Conkle, as a paralegal, immediately following graduation. She was the longest running employee and retired in 2024, after 47 years of employment. She was known for her compassion, dedication, and hard work. She was well respected and appreciated by all of her clients and coworkers.


In her spare time, Mary enjoyed attending gospel concerts, especially the Gaither’s and Ernie Haase & Signature Sound. She was their #1 fan! Mary was an active participant with the Special Olympics and took great pride in the organization. She is remembered for her love of Christmas, collecting snow globes, and enjoying Disney movies.


Mary was a member of Ashland Church, in Oregon, Ohio, where she attended services and was an office secretary. In addition, she was a former trustee of the Toledo Area American Baptist Association.


Left to cherish her memory include her children, Bradley Harris, Heather Folck, Andrew Harris and Grace Greenbank; grandchildren, Jensen and Isabella Greenbank; siblings, Bill “Skip” (Beth) Tiderman and Tim (Dare) Tiderman; cousin, Francine Harraway. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 10 years, Mark Harris; parents, and one sister, Gael Self.


A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 2:00 pm, at Ashland Church, 2350 Starr Ave, Oregon, OH 43616. Light refreshments will be provided.
