On Friday, February 26th, Mary Beth Stachura completed her life on earth and began her next journey into eternity. MB was born to Melvin Sr and Mary Lee Stachura in March of 1962. She attended St. Agnes, Start HS and graduated from Defiance College. For a brief period, she was employed by the Lucas County Sheriff's Department until she started her career as a Toledo Police Officer in 1990. For many years MB ran the Police Athletic League molding the lives of many of Toledo’s youths and after 26 years of service, she retired in 2016. MB was a faithful fan of Michigan football, Braves baseball, and the NFL Raiders so she was well aware what the agony of defeat meant. Preceding her into the afterlife was her parents and her sister, Sharon Monday. Left to tell her tales are her siblings, Ken (Daniel) Stachura, Mel (Dana) Stachura, Bev (Ed) Mathews; her many nieces and nephews that she simply adored; and her two fur babies, Keira and Gigi. Per her wishes she was cremated and there will no services since she wouldn’t be able to buy the first few rounds. However, we will be bending elbows in her honor on a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the families of Officers Anthony Dia and Officer Brandon Stalker, or to the Toledo Humane Society. With MB’s induction, Heaven doesn’t know what it’s in for.
