Former Columbus resident, Mary Winans Bellingham, 96, died on July 8, 2009 while visiting her daughter in Swanton, OhioMrs. Bellingham was born June 18, 1913 in Columbus, Ohio to Cary and Winifred Winans.Following graduation from Columbus School for Girls (CSG) she attended Wellesley College, where she earned a Masters Degree in Education at The Ohio State University. She taught 20 years at Montrose Elementary School in Bexley.Mrs. Bellingham served in the Red Cross in Egypt during WWII.She is survived by her daughters, Patter (Phil) Smith of Houston and Dr. Kathy (Jack) Mondell of Toledo; grandchildren, Clint (Kelley) and Patricia; and great grandson, Drew; nephews, Robert (deceased)(Mary Kay) Tucker, David (Pat) Tucker, Mike (Susan) Tucker, John (Kathy) Tucker; and niece, Mary Winifred (Ray) Brookins.At her request, no services will be held and her ashes will be scattered at Camp Kineowatha, Wilton, ME at a date to be determined during the summer of 2010.Condolences may be sent to 16947 Castle Fraser, Houston, TX 77084 or to 2585 N.
