Mary Lenore Bayer

Mary Lenore Bayer (Kelly), age 72, passed away on June 6, 2019 at Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek after a short battle with cancer. She was born on July 31, 1946 in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Richard D. and Nancy A. Kelly (Van Luven). Mary attended the University of Toledo earning a degree in medical office assistance. She spent most of her career in the medical field. Mary was very much involved with her family and loved spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. She was a social butterfly, she loved being around people and she loved playing games. Mary is survived by her daughter, Tiffany (Chris) Nitz; sons, Scott (Danielle) Bayer and Richard “Danny” Bayer; grandchildren, Olivia and Sam; sisters, Karen Keebler (Kelly) and Susan (Art) Millonig; former husband and friend, Jim Bayer; and many nieces, nephews, friends and family. Mary was preceded in death by her father, Richard D. Kelly; mother, Nancy A. Kelly; and nephew, Matt Millonig. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 10 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5411 Main St, Sylvania. The family would like to thank the staffs of Wolf Creek and ProMedica Hospice for providing excellent care of Mary and her family as well.
