Mary Ann Diamond, born on February 28, 1961, loved the Lord and celebrated her faith in service to others. On December 16, 2022 she passed away peacefully at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo following a lengthy illness.
Mary Ann was born in Danbury, Connecticut to Joseph and Beverly (Miller) St. Jean. She enjoyed growing up with her siblings Chris, Joseph and Karen St. Jean. Yet, the joy of her life was her son Matthew. Together, they enjoyed trips to Disney, walks on the beaches of Fort Lauderdale and celebrating many milestones as a loving mother and son duo.
Mary Ann had a wonderful career in non-profit management, as Director of Broward County Outreach Center in Florida and most recently in Toledo, where she served as Program Director at Lutheran Social Services of Northwestern Ohio (LSS). She never met a stranger and used her compassion as a way to bring hope and joy to those in her care.
Mary Ann is survived by her son, Matthew (Andrew) Diamond; brother, Joseph St. Jean; sister, Karen St. Jean, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins too. Her parents and brother, Chris greeted her in heaven.
Mary Ann loved walks in the park, laughing with friends and drives to the closest beach. She especially wants to recognize her LSS family who helped her this past year as she faced her illness with courage and her compassionate team of caregivers from Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Your love made all of the difference.
A Celebration of Remembrance will be held on January 18, at 11:00 am on the campus of Luther Home of Mercy, 5810 N. Main Street, Williston, Ohio with Pastor Denise Brown assisting.
In honor of Mary Ann, please consider a donation for Lutheran Social Services of Northwest Ohio, 2149 Collingwood Blvd., Toledo, Ohio 43620 or a non-profit organization in your community.
