Marvin P. Dougherty

Marvin “Doc” Dougherty, 92, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on April 3, 2025, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. He was born on November 9, 1932, in Toledo, Ohio, to Malcolm and Matilda Dougherty.

He married Joanne Henry in 1953, and she joined him in Germany where he was serving in the Army. After the Army, they moved to Oregon, Ohio and he worked for Gulf Oil Refinery for 26 years.

Marvin is survived by his daughters, Debra (Doug) Dippman and Pam (Bob) Shields; son, Michael (Catherine) Dougherty; grandchildren, Andrea (Patrick) Siparsky, Jamie (Rob) Noble, Kendra (Derek) Zenk, Patrick (Erin) Shields, Andrew (Rachel) Shields, Danielle (Daniel) Clements, Michael Dougherty, Jr., and Matthew Dougherty; and eleven great grandchildren.

He was proceeded in death by his wife, Joanne; his parents; and sister, Donna Nutt.

A private graveside service will be held for family. Any memorial donations are asked to be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
