The crown jewel of our family passed away after a valiant 4 year battle against COPD. Marty had her loving daughter at her bedside at her passing. Martys life began September 19, 1933, in Toledo and she later lived in her Sylvania home from 1958-2010. As a young woman, Marty became a very accomplished florist and worked for many of the local flower shops although Tims Flowers on Door St. was her favorite. In the early 1970s , Marty fell in love with the St. Bernard breed. As of this month, she was fortunate to have a total of 7 of them. She loved all animals equally and abhorred violence to any of them.Marty is survived by her loving children, Sandie, Danny and Greg. Her St. Bernard, Tess, also survives. She was preceded in death by her son, Mark; sister, Bettie Koepfler and parents, Harry and Pauline Gruber. The Sanders family wishes to thank Sylvania EMS and The Toledo Hospital ER and staff who together gave our mother an additional 4 years with her loving family and special friends, Pat, B.J. and Ann.Please make contributions to Toledo Humane Society of Maumee and remember to treat all animals with kindness and compassion.A memorial service and celebration of life will be held by her children at a later date.Online condolences may be shared below: Mother, there is a beautiful golden field that awaits you and in this field a lone handsome oak tree which bear the fruit of your heaven, your loving 6 St. Bernards, for your companionship in all eternity.
