Marla Jean Mcghee

On Friday November 4th, Marla Jean McGhee left this world to join her son Terry and sister Janice White.

Marla was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 6th, 1937 to Kenneth and Loretta (Dreier) Delp. She was the eldest of six siblings, attended grade school at St. Agnes Parish, and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1955. Marla attended Mount St Joseph University where she studied Art. She very much enjoyed art, both admiring and painting in her spare time becoming an accomplished artist. She married Lee McGhee in 1957. In addition to raising her three sons, she worked at Champion Spark Plug, Rite-Aid, and retired from Medical Mutual in 2007. She had a passion for card games especially rummy and solitaire. She loved azaleas, poppies and roses.

She was preceded in death by her youngest son Terry and is survived by her sons, David and Norm (Cathy); siblings, Ken (Marilyn) Delp, Margaret “Peg” O’Connell, Lois Delp and Douglas Delp; grandchildren, Mollie, Danielle (Lance) Lycourt, Mallory, Kayla, Brandon, Ryan, and Lindsey (Kyle) Cline; and great-grandchildren, Lexa, Kylie, Brendan, Gavin and Karli.

Marla did not wish to have a formal visitation. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
