Marla D. Cortland

Marla Donnette Cortland, age 44, passed away on December 27, 2021. She was born in Toledo on June 30, 1977 to Morreece and Doris Cortland. Marla was a graduate of Jesup Scott High School. She was always upbeat, full of life and possessed a beautiful spirit. She is survived by her mother, Doris Cortland; children, Marshawn Cole, Mickel, Narciese, and Malayka Cortland; sister, MaLynda Walker; brothers, Alton Thomas, Morreece Cortland II and Rhami Said, as well as a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Marla was preceded in death by her father, Morreece Cortland; paternal grandparents, Dolores and Morris Cortland; and maternal grandparents, Louise and Roosevelt Thomas.
