Marion E. Short

Marion Elaine Short, age 79, passed away on July 9, 2023 in Toledo, Ohio. She was born on July 27, 1943 to Kenneth and Marion Montie (deceased) and attended school in Trenton, MI.

She was an accountant for the Teamsters and Methodist credit union in Detroit. Marion loved sewing, knitting, quilting, spending time with her grandchildren, all things Mickey Mouse, and Florida, where she lived out her retirement years in Barefoot Bay.

Marion is survived by her loving husband, James W. Short IV and Newton; children, Thomas (Stephanie) Short, Yvonne (Robert) Poythress, Jeanne Marie (Rory) Reed, and Duane "Dewy" (Jodie) Short; grandchildren, Alexandra, Johnathan, Courtney, Joseph, Shawn (Jessica), Lucas (Amy), Aaron, Michael, Alexandria, David, and Jay; great grandchildren, Janice, Adriana, Nathan, Bryson, Mckena, Ezra, Evie, Alexis, Alma, Connor, Maci, Easton, and Denise.

She possessed the most beautiful soul and welcoming smiles and we were truly blessed to love her and be beloved by her.
