Marilyn Sue Kaintz (Ladd), 83, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025, at Lakes of Monclova, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and creativity. Born on September 26, 1941, in Toledo, Ohio, to Gilbert and Alice Ladd, Marilyn lived a vibrant life filled with devotion to her family, career, and spiritual beliefs.


Marilyn married her beloved husband, Edward Kaintz, on April 27, 1968. Together, they built a beautiful family, raising two daughters: Kory Audino (Steven, residing in Orlando, Florida) and Amy Sahloff (Eric, residing in Waterville, Ohio). Marilyn was a devoted mother and grandmother to Kylie and Brody, always present with warmth, guidance, and unwavering support for her family. She also leaves behind her sisters, Shirley Wozniak and Mary Jane Koch, who will cherish her memory.


A skilled professional, Marilyn worked as an executive secretary in both Las Vegas, Nevada, and Toledo, Ohio, including notably McAuley High School and Saint Rose Catholic Church. Her strong work ethic, organizational talents, and personable nature left a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike.


Marilyn was a devout Catholic, finding strength and solace in her faith. She was an active member of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church, where her commitment to her beliefs inspired those around her. An avid gardener, Marilyn found joy in nurturing her plants and creating beautiful outdoor spaces. Her creative spirit also shone through in her hobbies of crocheting, knitting, and needlepoint, where she crafted intricate pieces with care and skill, often gifting them to loved ones.


Marilyn’s life was defined by her faith, her commitment to her family, her professional excellence, and her passion for creativity. She will be deeply missed by her daughters, their families, her sisters, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
