Marilyn J. Ferrer

Marilyn J. (Haar) Ferrer, age 89, passed away on December 1, 2023 at Edgewood Manor in Port Clinton.

Marilyn was born in Genoa, Ohio to the late Otto and Erma (Zabel) Haar. She graduated from Genoa High School in 1952 and was an Army veteran, serving at Fort Meade, Maryland in the cryptology department for NSA. She also worked at the telephone company in Genoa and at Franklin Printing in Toledo. Marilyn's favorite things were reading, listening to blue grass and George Straight.

She is survived by her son, Tony (Mimi) Ferrer of Tuscon, AZ; grandchildren, Katie Krupp, Emilie Cullen and Jacob Ferrer; four great grandchildren; special nice, Cindy Arndt and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Larry Ferrer; brother, Wayne Harr; and sister, Maurine Opfer.

Marilyn has requested that no services be held. Burial will be held at Elliston Cemetery at a later date. Anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution in Marilyn's name, please consider the Wounded Warrior Project.
