Marie Evans

Marie Antoinette Evans, 63, of Toledo, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the Flower ProMedica Hospital. She was born on February 28, 1956, in Bucyrus, Ohio, to the late Murrell Clifford Evans and Phyllis Virginia (Cochenour) Evans. Marie previously received support at the Anne Grady Center and for the last 14 years at the Epilepsy Center of Northwest Ohio.

Marie was laid back, and was very soft-spoken, but was verbally able to communicate her wants and needs. She remained stubborn throughout her life. She loved going out for ice cream, coffee, cheese puffs, relaxing in her recliner, praying and not being around loud noises. We are blessed to have known her, and she was loved by many. Marie lived a good life!

We would like to thank APSI, Representatives Sandy Hull-Ferguson and Linda Whetsel, for your help and support, it made a big difference in Marie’s life. Extra special thanks go to the people who spent every day with Marie; Mahalia, Sonya, Madison, Christy, Timnyla, Nautica, and Jerida. Your love and care over the years are what helped Marie live a very fulfilling life.

Although it’s difficult today to see beyond sorrow, looking back helps comfort you tomorrow. If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. We've shared our lives with you these many years. You've held our hand; you've held our heart. May the memory of Marie bring solace to those who knew her and serve as a reminder to cherish the relationships that enrich our lives.
