Marie J. Beaufort

Marie Jose Beaufort, age 81, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2020 in Perrysburg, Ohio. She was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on March 19, 1939, the daughter of the late Fortune Bogat and Adrienne (Beaufort) Lassegue. Marie grew up in and worked her entire career for the Haitian National Government as a civil servant in Port-au-Prince. After retiring in 1986, she moved to New York to be closer to family and obtained legal citizenship in the United States not long after. She worked part-time as a home health aid. The last few years of her life were spent enjoying road trips with family and exploring sights and local landmarks. She is survived by her children, Eric (Angelica) Guilliod, Ruby (Pleno) Guilliod Moise and Herby (Doris) Guilliod; sister, Michaelle Lassegue Damas; grandchildren, Jamal Guilliod, Eric Guilliod, Dereck Guilliod, Fayola Moise, Stephane Moise, Raquel Pepper, Natalia Guilliod, Nicole Nuñez, as well as many nieces and nephews. Marie was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Pierot Lassegue.
