Marian Clontz

Marian Clontz passed away peacefully at home on June 24, 2011. She was born July 16, 1914 in Ogden, Utah to Hunter & Claire (Harris) Terry. She married Paul E. Clontz on October 2, 1933 in Farmington, Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, sister, Ruth, and son, David. Surviving are: daughter, Carolyn (John) Burritt of Oriental, NC; granddaughter, Trish Sievert of Wayne, OH; great-grandson, Kerry Scott of Wayne, OH; two half-brothers: Jay Anderson of Fallbrook, CA and Keith Anderson of San Diego, CA and daughter-in-law Juanita Rudolph of Wayne, OH. Marian graduated from Ogden High School in 1931 and from Weber State in 1934. She received her Masters in Education Administration from BGSU in 1957. Her teaching career spanned 42 years beginning in Utah, Maryland, San Diego, Europe and finally in the Elmwood and Eastwood School Districts before retiring from Eastwood (Webster) in 1976. Marian was always active in her communities serving as a Girl Scout leader (Maryland), American Culture teacher (Germany), Radio Program Host (KLO-Ogden, Utah), Library Board President (Wayne), Eastwood Teachers Association President, Church Choir Director (Las Vegas, NV & Wayne, OH), Chairperson Wayne United Methodist Church, President of Church Women United (Las Vegas, NV) and many more. As per her request, services were held privately for the family. The family would like to thank Bridge Hospice for their care.
