Marcus H. Sheridan, age 69, was born in Findlay, Ohio on July 27, 1954, and left for Heaven on February 21, 2024.
Mark graduated from Findlay High School in 1972 and joined the US Navy on October 30, 1975; he served in the battleship boiler room while deployed in Greece. He was later hit by a car while living in Fort Myers, Florida which left him with multiple health challenges and required him to come back home to live closer to his family.
Mark was a member of the Most Blessed Sacrament and enjoyed attending Mass and joining in fellowship. His hobbies included playing chess (he almost always won!), camping, watching “ME” TV, and playing video games. Mark was quite the talker and would talk for hours about his son, his grandchildren, his parents, or really just any topic he could get you to listen to.
Marcus was a great caregiver for his mother and his sister when they fell ill. You could always count on him to house sit and take care of your pets when you went on vacation. Family and friends meant so much to him and he tried his best to focus on being a good son, brother, father, grandparent, and friend.
Marcus was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie (Hart) Sheridan; father, Glen Sheridan; sister, Glenda (Sheridan) Maher; brother, Jeffrey Sheridan; ex-wife, Patricia (Brown) Sheridan.
Marcus is survived by his son, Michael Sheridan; grandson, Dustyn Sheridan; granddaughter, Katelyn (Sheridan) Gerding; son-in-law, Ricky Gerding; grandchildren, Sophia Wawrzyniak-Sheridan, Todd Sheridan, and Cooper Gerding; best friend and brother-in-law, John Maher; niece, Melanie Maher; nephew, Anthony Maher; niece-in-law, Elyse (Ostrowski) Maher; and lots of Sheridan cousins.
Please join us on Saturday, March 16, 2024 to honor his memory at the Most Blessed Sacrament, 2240 Castlewood Drive, Toledo, OH 43613 with visitation starting at 10:00 am until the time of the Mass at 11:00 am.
