Lynn A. Tolland

Lynn Ann Tolland age 67 of Toledo, passed away December 31st, 2020 at Cleveland University Hospital. With extreme courage she was battling liver disease and while awaiting organ transplant fell victim to Covid 19. Lynn was the first of four children born to Fred and Leta Lauffer on October 21st, 1953 in Toledo, Ohio. She was a 1971 graduate of Roy. C. Start High School. She married the love of her life, her high school sweetheart, Richard Tolland on March 22nd, 1974. Together they were blessed with three children. Lynn was an incredibly empathetic and selfless soul who cared deeply for her family and friends. She was a talented seamstress and cook who enjoyed traveling to the U.P. of Michigan. She took great pride in her gardening, crafts and baking. Lynn worked in the dental industry as an assistant and technician. From there she transitioned to in home child care where she cared for several nieces and nephews and other loved children. Work experiences then led her to administrative positions at the University of Toledo and Promedica Flower Hospital. Lynn was preceded in death by her brothers, Tom and Steve Lauffer, in addition to her beloved in-laws, Joe and Fran Tolland. She is survived by her wonderful husband of 46 years, Rick and their three children: Amy (Tom), Adam, and Angela (Adrian). Grandchildren Lyndsay, Adalia, Annaliese, Ace, Morgan and Emily. Parents Fred and Leta, sister Lori (Todd) Snyder, sister in laws Therese (Dan) Lavey and Janice (Ron) Kazmierski as well as many nieces and nephews and countless friends. Due to the current environment and the safety of our family and friends, a memorial and celebration of life will be held at a future date.
