Lucretia Jean Roos

Lucretia “Cretia” Roos, 75, was called home to the Lord. She passed away peacefully in her Toledo home on Friday, August 1, 2025. She graduated from Whitmer High School in 1967 and retired from Ohio Bell after 30 years of dedicated service. Cretia loved anything science fiction, (Big Foot is real), was an avid reader and was a volunteer for the “Read for Literacy” program at her local library. We will always remember her love of rock & roll music & dancing- attending hundreds of concerts. With her beautiful heart, she always had her door open to neighborhood kids & was an advocate for multiple children & animal charities.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Herman and Elizabeth “Betty Lou” Hartley; husband, Nick Roos, Richard Kamphausen; sister-in-law, Karen Hartley.

Cretia is survived by her three children, Joshua Daniel Roos, Riannan Nicole Roos, & Natasha Aleta (Keith) Taylor; grandchildren, Tatum and Wyatt Taylor; siblings, Dana Leu & Tracey Hartley; many nieces, nephews, cousins; chosen family, Elizabeth “Sissy” Kriner; several lifelong friends; & many fur babies.

Celebration of Life will be held on October 4, 2025, at Ottawa Lake Sportman Club at 9480 Memorial Hwy, Ottawa Lake, MI 49267 from 2:00-6:00pm.
