Lori Norris, age 64, passed away on February 7, 2026. Born on September 3, 1961, Lori lived a life defined by love, creativity, curiosity, and deep devotion to her family.
Of all the titles Lori held, the one she wore most proudly was Paparoo. Being a grandma was her greatest joy, and she poured her heart into that role, offering comfort, laughter, and unconditional love to her grandchildren.
Lori had a remarkable gift for baking, especially her cakes, which were nothing short of works of art. Every celebration was elevated by her talent, care, and attention to detail. She also delighted in life’s simple pleasures, including one of her favorite indulgences: ice cream for breakfast, always chocolate.
She loved dolphins, traveling to new places, and making memories with the people she loved most. Whether planning a trip or spending time with her grandchildren, Lori found joy in experiences and togetherness.
She was the proud mother of three children, Amanda (Andy) Mayers, Amy (Scott) Taylor, and Andrew (Meghan) Edelman, whom she shared with Jim Edelman. In 2013, Lori married Randy Norris, and together they shared a love that knew no bounds, rooted in companionship, laughter, and unwavering support. They were best friends.
Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Carol Solly. She is survived by husband, Randy Norris; siblings, Doug (Lyn) Solly and Sheila (Bill) Earp; her beloved children and her cherished grandchildren, Henry, Clara, Dorothy, and Mabel, who were the light of her life.
Lori’s spirit was warm, her love fierce, and her impact immeasurable. She will be remembered for her nurturing heart, her creativity, her sense of joy, and the way she made people feel deeply loved. Her legacy lives on in the family she adored and the countless memories made sweeter by her love.
A Celebration of Life honoring Lori will be held on February 15, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Nederhouser Community Hall, located at Olander Park, 6930 W Sylvania Ave, Sylvania, OH 43560.
