Lori A. Coonce

March 10, 1958 — August 29, 2021

Lori Ann Coonce, 63, of Monroe, MI was born on March 10, 1958 in Niagara Falls, NY from the union of Judith Moxham and the late Joseph DiFranco. She was one of four children born from this union. After graduating from LaSalle Senior High School in 1976, she advanced her education by attending Niagara County Community College. Although Lori acquired many different occupational skills throughout her life, she found abundant happiness and joy in her career when she joined the Publix team in 2012. Lori gained a very special work family in Flowery Branch, GA where she lived until she became ill. Lori found her greatest pleasures in the simple things in life. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her profound pride and immense love for her children and grandson were evident to everyone she encountered. She was always bragging and telling stories about her family. If you had the privilege of knowing Lori, you know what an amazing cook she was. If she wasn’t hosting, she was always sure to bring a delicious dish to pass. Lori also loved to travel and go sightseeing. One of her favorite pastime chores was doing laundry, she LOVED to do laundry and help others who had fallen behind in their chores. If ever a helping hand was offered, you could count on this amazing woman. Lori had a passion for life. Anyone that had the opportunity to meet her and share in her friendship could immediately see her zest for life. In our opinion, “social butterfly” would be described in the dictionary with two simple words: Lori Coonce. She enjoyed people and made everyone feel like family. Lori looked for the good in people and brought joy to so many individuals’ lives. She was always positive, happy, and smiling, even when she wasn’t feeling well. Lori was the bright star in any room. Lori was a loving mother, grandmother (LaLa), daughter, sister, and friend. She left this world on August 29, 2021, after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Lori’s shining light will be forever missed by her family and friends. To cherish her memory, she leaves: her mother, Judy DiFranco; her children: Sterling (Mallory) Coonce, Brendan (Nge) Coonce, Bailey (Darren) Prichard; her grandson, Atticus Coonce; her siblings, Sue (Jonathan) Robertson, Bill (Jody) DiFranco, Bob (Cathy) DiFranco; Nieces: Ally and Jessie Robertson; Nephews: Tyler Robertson and Adam DiFranco; and her best feline friend, Mr. Binx. Sadly, her passing was preceded by her grandparents, Ruth and Evan Moxham & Jenny and Salvatore DiFranco and her beloved father, Joe DiFranco. A celebration of Lori’s life will be held at Cornerstone Church, 1290 Whitehaven Rd, Grand Island, NY on October 17, 2021 at 2:00 in the afternoon. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to family and friends for your assistance getting her to doctor appointments, the wonderful meals shared, and support you provided during her illness.
