In Loving Memory of Lois Orth
Lois Orth, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 30th, at the age of 92.
Born on June 5, 1933 in Toledo, OH, Lois lived a life full of love, kindness, and unwavering strength. She married Edward “Pinky” Orth in 1950, and together they built a beautiful life and family, including four children, Cheryl, Marta, Larry, and Nick, where they always opened their home and hearts to everyone.
Lois was known for her sense of humor, warm smile, and her gift for making everyone feel special. She loved bingo, crosswords, vacationing, and spending time with her family, who brought her endless joy.
Lois spent most winters in Bonita Lake RV Resort in Bonita Springs, FL, where she made many life long friends, won many bingo games, and spent countless afternoons socializing in the pool.
She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Varney and Marta (Bob) English; her grandchildren, Ryan (Jennie) Varney, Robin (Cecil) Torres, and Emily (Mike) Hayes; her great grandchildren, Nolan, Cecil Jr, Amber, Phoebe, Audrey, Lily, Jonny, Eden, Tino, Michael, and Katie; her brother, David Nichols; and many nieces, nephews and close family friends.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, John and Verna Nichols; husband, Edward “Pinky” Orth; and her sons, Larry and Nick Orth.
Lois’s legacy of love, generosity, and resilience will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
There will be a mass held at Our Lady of Mt Carmel in Temperance, MI and a celebration of her life held in the future.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
