Linda Holly Hoot

Linda Holly Hoot, 71, of Toledo passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. She was born on July 20, 1947 in Quantico, VA to Leo and Lorraine (Habracter) Petree. Linda graduated from Whitmer High School and then continued her education at the University of Toledo earning her bachelor’s degree. She was a teacher for several years until her retirement. Linda was a member of St. Lucas Lutheran Church, Toledo. In her spare time she enjoyed garden and spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving is her daughter, Wendy Kruse of Toledo; grandchildren, Shane Kruse, ShyAnn Griesinger, and Shannan Griesinger; first husband, Timothy Walter Kruse; sister, Lana Petree Baldy; and brother, Thomas Petree. Linda is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Scott Hoot; and brother, Robert Petree. Services for Linda will be private for the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cremation Society of Toledo to help with final expenses or to the American Cancer Society.
