Leonard James Peterson

Leonard J. Peterson, 78, affectionately known by his grandchildren as “Papa”, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 10, 2021 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Lee was born May 21, 1943 in Long Branch, NJ. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1960-1964 and went on to work in sales for most of his career. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, fishing and watching football. He was a lifelong fan of the Minnesota Vikings. Lee leaves behind his children, Karen (Jeff) Edwards and Eric Peterson; grandsons Shane Edwards (Alex Bryan) and Nathan Peterson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna M. Peterson; parents, Donald and Edith Carvin; sister Donna J. Fast; brother-in-law Gene Fast, and nephew Jeff Fast. Services will be private.
