Lawrence Elwin Grup

Lawrence E Grup, age 79, passed away at his home on January 6, 2022 after a long illness. Larry grew up in Toledo, Ohio where he graduated from Macomber High School. He went on to a career as an engineer at Norfolk Southern Railroad until he retired in 2006. Larry was a member of Calvary Church in Maumee, Ohio, where he volunteered his time to various ministries. He loved to play games with his family, enjoyed his garden, was a great cook, and had a passion for boating and fishing. Larry is survived by his wife, Lorann; daughters, Robin (David Tierney) and Lori (Pulsifer); sons, Sean (Rachel) and Jason (Melissa); brother, Gary; sister, Debra (Garrison); 12 grandchildren; and, 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth; and his mother, Jeannette (Owens). His family takes comfort knowing that Larry is at peace in his heavenly home. A celebration of life in his honor will be held at a future date.
