Lawrence J. Foley

Lawrence "Larry," age 71 passed away October 29, 2022 after a long and courageous battle with kidney disease. Larry was born on February 1, 1951 in Toledo, OH to parents Arthur Foley and Gladys (Schlaghack) Foley.

He attended Bowsher High school before enlisting in the Navy on September 2, 1969 he was honorably discharged

June 10, 1975. After completing the military he went on to work for the post office and for Conrail Railroad until he could no longer work.

Larry was an enthusiastic sports lover. Rooting for Alabama, the Chicago Blackhawks and the New York Yankees-making sure to call his daughter every time the Yankees were playing on TV!

Larry was a strong outspoken presence with a no nonsense attitude who will be greatly missed.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Gladys, brothers Dick, Ronnie, Donnie, sisters Barb, Judy and Nancy and many much-loved relatives and friends.

He is survived by his son Rian and daughter Meagan, Beloved grandchildren Aidan, Finn and Sabrina, brothers Garry and Terry, Ex-wife and friend Candy and he will be missed by many nieces and nephews. We once asked Aidan, why do you love Papa so much? He simply replied, "Because Papa let's me do's what I want to do's."

Because of his love of all things Irish, especially St. Patrick's Day we invite all friends and family to join us in celebrating the life of Larry at Shawn's Irish Tavern Waterville, on Saturday, November 19th at 3 pm.
