Laura Ferer Mucci

Laura Ferer Mucci, 72, of Sylvania, Ohio died Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at her home. She was born in Fairborn, Ohio December 23, 1950 a daughter of Benjamin and Sarah Smith Ferer.

She married Steven A. Mucci May 18, 1974.

She was a 1969 graduate of George Washington High School in Alexandria, Virginia and attended Northern Virginia Community College. She is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Prior to her marriage in 1974, she was employed by Wolf & Company in Washington, DC. After her marriage, she was employed by Presearch, Inc. in Washington, DC. When her children were older, she was employed by Holy Family Catholic School in Ashland, KY; and Apple Tree Nursery School in Toledo, OH.

She enjoyed caring for her family and helping others.

Laura is survived by four children, Amanda Mucci of Toledo, Ohio, Victoria Mucci Welsh and her husband Michael Welsh of Toledo, Ohio, Nicholas Mucci and his wife Natalie Baidel Mucci of Westerville, Ohio and Julia Mucci of Aurora, Ohio.

Laura is also survived by her husband, Steven Mucci, brothers Daniel Ferer of Ocala, FL, James Ferer of Harwich, MA, Thomas Ferer of Port Charlotte, FL and sister Katherine Ferer Mutlu of The Villages, FL; and three grandchildren, Annabell Welsh, Allison Welsh and Audrey Welsh; and her nieces and nephews.

Laura’s family thanks the nurses, chaplains, home healthcare aids, doctors and staff at ProMedica Hospice of Sylvania, OH for their support.
